Decision 3174/QD-UBND of Da Nang City People's Committee clearly stipulates the construction and urgent remediation of natural disaster consequences, ensuring traffic on National Highway 40B section from Km1+770 to Km85+850, the area heavily affected by storm No. 12 and prolonged heavy rains in 2025.
The project is invested by the Department of Construction, deployed in Tra My and Tra Tan communes. The implementation cost is about 15.5 billion VND. The requirement is to construct urgently, ensure quality, and soon restore safe traffic on the vital route connecting the southern localities of Da Nang city with Quang Ngai province.
Previously, rain and floods caused serious damage on National Highway 40B. Dozens of positive and negative landslide points appeared continuously. Many sections of road were blocked for a long time. Especially the section from the beginning of the route to Km85+850 recorded hundreds of large and small landslide points, disrupting traffic, directly affecting people's lives and relief work.
At Km82+500 through Tra Tan commune, soil and rocks from the mountainside collapsed with a very large volume, sweeping away drainage culverts, completely burying the road surface. Traffic in this area was paralyzed. The maintenance unit mobilized machinery and manpower to clear the first step, but the route clearance encountered many difficulties due to the large volume of soil and rocks.
Quang Nam Transport Works Joint Stock Company has organized clearance and temporary traffic opening to Km82+500. However, vehicles have not yet been able to travel through this location due to broken roadbeds. The immediate solution is to install temporary culverts to ensure first-foot traffic opening.
Construction enterprises in the area are also mobilized to participate in overcoming. Construction forces deploy machinery to work continuously, clearing and leveling soil and rocks at dangerous landslide points. Many sections of the route through Nam Tra My recorded high landslide density, on average short sections with one damage point appearing, posing a risk of unsafety.
Issuing an emergency construction order can soon respond to the restoration of transport infrastructure, ensuring travel safety and stabilizing the lives of people in disaster-affected areas.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
