Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is planned with 2 rest stops at Km 205+092 (Ham Thuan Bac district) and at Km 144+560 (Tuy Phong district). The area of each station is 10 hectares including the left and right sides of the route.
Since August 20, the investor of the rest stop at Km 205 has started construction after receiving the land. On November 14, it was recorded that the construction site was bustling with motor vehicles.
On both sides of Km 205 are two rest stops that are being leveled and dump trucks are carrying dirt. The rest stop on the right side of the route has formed a ring road around it for construction vehicles to circulate.
Mr. Huynh Tuan - Director of TTC Chau Thanh Trading and Service Joint Stock Company (contractor) - said that the unit is still mobilizing personnel and machinery to prepare the construction site.
At the rest stop on the left side of the route (South-North direction), there is a concrete foundation being poured. According to Mr. Tuan, this area is under construction for the rest stop restroom.
"We are trying to complete the construction to put the toilets and parking lot into use before the upcoming Lunar New Year," Mr. Tuan added.
The construction area is fenced, posted with signs and stakes. Engineers and supervisors are present at the site to measure and observe the construction vehicles.
At the Km 144 rest stop, Tuy Phong District People's Committee is carrying out land procedures to hand over the site to the investor for construction.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8 km long, the entire route passes through Binh Thuan province and was put into operation, exploiting the main route from May 19, 2023, inaugurated on June 18, 2023. Up to now, there is only 1 temporary rest stop on this expressway.
