On November 19, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with the authorities of Khanh Hoa province to block off and temporarily stop all vehicles traveling through Song Pha Pass on National Highway 27 due to landslides.
Prolonged heavy rain has caused many landslides in the Song Pha Pass area (Khanh Hoa area), posing a potential risk to the safety of the project and traffic participants. The pass closure will be applied from the early afternoon of November 19 and will last until further notice.

The authorities recommend that drivers traveling between Da Lat and Khanh Hoa should follow the following alternative directions: Da Lat - National Highway 20 - Dai Ninh Pass (National Highway 28B) or Gia Bac Pass (National Highway 28), National Highway 55 (Da Mi Pass).
Song Pha Pass (Ngoan Luc Pass) is nearly 20km long, connecting Da Lat with the Phan Rang sea area of Ninh Thuan province. This is a winding road, with steep hills and mountains, many sections of high slopes, often with the potential risk of landslides during the rainy season.
As Lao Dong reported, in recent days, prolonged heavy rains in Lam Dong have caused many residential areas and agricultural production areas to be deeply flooded; many passes such as Prenn, D'ran (National Highway 20), Khanh Le (National Highway 27C) have continuously collapsed, causing serious traffic disruption in Lam Dong.
