The project to renovate and upgrade the traffic route connecting National Highway 32 with National Highway 70B of Phu Tho province to Hoa Binh province has a total investment of 164 billion VND, and is being constructed in Thanh Son district, but the investor is the People's Committee of Thanh Thuy district.
This is a project that Lao Dong Newspaper has written many articles about, with problems in site clearance, with houses located in the middle of the road. The owners of the houses do not agree to receive compensation and support for site clearance so that the project can be implemented.
As of November 2023, the project's site clearance is still stuck with two houses located in the middle of the road. In Tinh Nhue commune (Thanh Son district), there is a house and constructions of Mr. Hoang Van Ban (to be resolved by December 2023), in Luong Nha commune (Thanh Son district), there is a house and constructions of Mr. Ngo Van Xa (to be resolved by May 2024).
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, in the first days of December, the place where there used to be 2 "big" houses in the middle of the road is now a straight road, the entire 8.04 km long road has basically completed all construction items, most of the road is paved with asphalt, a few locations are being paved with crushed stone...
Speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh - Director of the Thanh Thuy District Construction Investment Project Management Board (representing the project investor) - said that up to now, the project to renovate and upgrade the traffic route connecting National Highway 32 with National Highway 70B of Phu Tho province to Hoa Binh province has completed about 97% of the volume.
According to Mr. Thanh, the project is facing problems with 4 households that are subject to resettlement. Therefore, the construction unit is urgently deploying technical infrastructure for the resettlement area, handing over to these 4 households soon so that the project road can continue to complete the remaining items.
"Therefore, the project is unlikely to be completed before December 31, 2024 as originally planned. The unit is considering a proposal to extend the project's construction time," Mr. Thanh shared.
The project to renovate and upgrade the traffic route connecting National Highway 32 with National Highway 70B of Phu Tho province to Hoa Binh province, once completed and put into operation, will be a new arterial route to replace Provincial Highway 317 (along the Da River) which is currently limited to traffic due to the damage and degradation of Luong Nha Bridge (the bridge over Ngoi Lat connecting Luong Nha commune with Tu Vu commune, Thanh Thuy district).
At the same time, the route will increase connectivity between the communes in the southeast of Thanh Son district and Thanh Thuy district, between Phu Tho province and Hoa Binh province, creating momentum for socio-economic development for the localities.
