At about 10:45 p.m. on June 5, a fire broke out at flower shop No. 2 Nguyen Thi Dinh Street (Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi). The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (PCCC and CNCH) had to break the door to approach the scene and put out the fire.
According to the people living near the scene, when they discovered smoke and smell emanating from the house, they chanted, and called the ward police and the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force. People also seek to contact the landlord and coordinate the door to put out the fire. However, because the outside door is a type of rolling door, the approach is difficult.
Before the authorities arrived, the people and the ward police used hand-held fire extinguishers and water to put out the fire but were unsuccessful. The fire broke out fiercely on the first floor of the store.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of the Cau Giay District Police Department mobilized 4 specialized vehicles and many officers and soldiers to the scene to carry out fire fighting work.
At around 11:20 p.m., the fire was completely controlled. The authorities continued to spray water to cool and carefully check the inside to prevent the fire from spreading and burning.
The fire did not cause any human casualties. Property damage is being counted. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
