The Tam Trinh road expansion project (Hoang Mai district, Hanoi) is 3.5km long, starting at Minh Khai intersection and ending at Ring Road 3 intersection, with a total investment of nearly VND3,400 billion.
The project started in 2016 and is expected to be completed after 3 years. However, due to many difficulties in site clearance, the project has stalled.
In August 2024, Hoang Mai district handed over about 800m of clean land to the contractor to implement the expansion of Tam Trinh road after many years of delay.
According to the representative of the contractor of Truong Son 97 branch (Truong Son Construction Corporation), the Tam Trinh road expansion project is divided into 2 construction phases.
Phase 1 will be constructed on the left side of the route in sections with available land. Phase 2 will construct the existing part of Tam Trinh Street.
The contractor's representative said that after the investor handed over part of the site, from the beginning of August 2024, the contractor began construction in the form of rolling.
After half a year of construction, the entire retaining wall on the Kim Nguu River has been basically completed.
Contractors are mobilizing many machines and personnel to focus on constructing items such as burying drainage systems, digging and filling roadbeds, spreading crushed stone, and treating weak soil at locations with clean land.
According to the contractor's representative, the construction period of this project is 650 days, from July 31, 2024, the unit is determined to closely follow the progress. However, the assigned site is still "steady and not seamless, so the efficiency of machinery and equipment has not been maximized.
According to the People's Committee of Hoang Mai District, the total land acquisition area (after adjusting the boundary) is about 54,009m2, involving about 1,590 households and 20 organizations, located in the 3 wards of Mai Dong, Hoang Van Thu and Yen So.
Hoang Mai District has set a goal of basically completing site clearance and handing over the maximum amount of clean land by the end of 2024 so that the contractor is qualified to construct continuously, without interruption.
However, up to now, the locality has not yet handed over enough land to the contractor. This delay risks affecting the project's progress, which is to be completed in 2026.
