Yen So Bus Station is an important project in Hoang Mai District (Hanoi), planned to reduce the load on Giap Bat Bus Station.
The project is located on Ring Road 3 - the city's main traffic route, about 5km from Nuoc Ngam Bus Station and Giap Bat Bus Station.
The project will start construction in the second quarter of 2025. The project investor is Thanh Tri Bus Station Joint Stock Company. The contractor is Ho Chi Minh Museum Construction Joint Stock Company.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on May 20, many machines and workers are being mobilized by contractors to implement the first items of the project.

After nearly a decade of waiting, in early 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee has officially allocated more than 27,500m2 of land to implement the project.
The project planning process has fully complied with legal regulations, approved by the Hanoi People's Council in Resolution No. 15/2012/NQ-HDND dated July 13, 2012. The project has also been appraised by the Ministry of Construction and relevant ministries and branches before being submitted to the Prime Minister for approval.

Regarding the scale of the project: The construction area is 3,445m2; the total floor area is 14,534m2; the height of the project is 19.2m.
The project consists of 4 floors (3 floors above ground, 1 basement), of which the basement is 5,000m2 wide and is used as a parking garage for passengers.
The center of the bus station has a circular building, with an area of 2,000m2, with the first floor being a ticket sales area and showroom, the second floor being a fast food business.
Yen So Bus Station is designed with a capacity of 800-1,000 vehicles/day, the first phase will operate about 400 vehicles/day.

This project has been delayed for a long time due to problems with site clearance and planning adjustments.
Yen So Bus Station is expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2026. After completion, this will be one of the modern bus stations in the country and the 7th bus station in Hanoi.
When put into operation, Yen So Bus Station will receive inter-provincial passenger bus routes from Giap Bat, especially routes to the South.
In the future, when the Ring Road 4 and the main bus station in the South are completed, Yen So Bus Station will be converted into a public transport transit center. This is in line with Hanoi's traffic development orientation, gradually relocating bus stations out of the inner city to reduce traffic pressure.
