Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Construction, Mr. Tran Huu Bao, has just signed a document on traffic flow to serve the repair of abutments, piers, bridge bearings, expansion joints and drainage systems on this route.
Specifically, the traffic organization plan on the elevated Ring Road 3 (from Mai Dich to Thang Long Avenue) is implemented as follows:
Daytime (from 6am - 10pm): Barricade 1/2 of the road surface at 09 locations of the expansion joints that need to be repaired. Vehicles move on the remaining half of the road at construction sites.
Night (from 10pm to 6am the next morning): Prohibit all vehicles from traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3, from Mai Dich overpass to Thang Long Avenue.
Vehicles are traveling in the following direction:
From the elevated Ring Road 3 going down: Vehicles will go in the direction of Mai Dich overpass (parallel urban overpass branch) - Pham Van Dong Street - Pham Hung Street (Low Ring Road 3) - through the Pham Hung - Khuat Duy Tien intersection, then take up the elevated Ring Road 3 at the entrance on Khuat Duy Tien Street (opposite Thang Long Number One building) to continue moving towards Phap Van.
From Thang Long Avenue to Mai Dich: Vehicles are moving normally.
The entrance to Mai Dich overpass and the entrance to Pham Hung street to the elevated Ring Road 3 are still operating normally.
Implementation period: 35 days (from March 23, 2025 to April 27, 2025).
The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board and the construction unit are responsible for:
Fully install signs, barriers, traffic lights and night lighting. Specifically, place the sign 200m from the checkpoint location, repeat at 150m, 50m and at the checkpoint location.
For the section of the entrance to Mai Dich overpass, arrange signs of speed gradually decreasing from the checkpoint location by 500m, repeat at 300m, 200m, 100m to ensure traffic safety.
At the daytime barriers on the elevated Ring Road 3, fully install signs of similarly decreasing speed.
Before implementation, it is necessary to work with the Traffic Inspectorate, Traffic Police and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate in guiding the flow of vehicles at checkpoints. At the same time, remote traffic diversion and installation of a sign system according to regulations. In case of traffic congestion, there needs to be a timely handling plan, coordinating with authorities to ensure smooth traffic.
