According to records on August 2, the main structure of the N4 bridge branch, An Phu intersection has been completed. At the construction site, construction units are paving the asphalt concrete bridge deck, installing railings, expansion joints, lighting systems and completing the final items before putting the project into operation in August.
According to the initial plan, the N4 bridge branch (belonging to package XL10) is expected to be completed and opened to traffic at the end of June 2026. However, due to incomplete construction volume, the investor has adjusted the milestone to put this item into operation to the end of July 2026. The fact that the N4 bridge branch has not been put into use makes vehicles from Giong Ong To bridge turning right into Mai Chi Tho avenue still have to circulate according to the existing traffic organization plan.

According to the updated plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the contractor is urgently completing the remaining items to soon put the bridge branch into operation. The N4 bridge branch is one of the important items of the An Phu intersection, serving traffic direction from Giong Ong To bridge turning right into Mai Chi Tho Avenue, contributing to reducing traffic conflicts at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.
Besides the N4 bridge branch, the investor aims to complete and open to traffic two bridge branches N1. 1 and N1. 3 by the end of September 2026. These two items will serve vehicles from Mai Chi Tho avenue turning left into the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway access road.

The branch of bridge N1. 2 connecting from Luong Dinh Cua street straight to the expressway access road and the Luong Dinh Cua street expansion item are expected to be completed by the end of April 2027, provided that compensation and site clearance of about 22,012 m2 of land belonging to An Phu Development Urban Area are completed in October 2026.
According to the investor, the overall progress of the An Phu intersection project is currently nearly 80%. The central tower and green landscape items are expected to be completed by the end of December 2026.

Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee agreed to adjust the implementation time of the An Phu intersection project to the third quarter of 2027. This is the second time the project worth more than 3,400 billion VND has been extended from the start of construction at the end of 2022. The city also assigned the Department of Construction to continue to inspect, supervise, and monitor the progress, and at the same time coordinate to remove difficulties, especially compensation and site clearance work to ensure the project is completed according to the new time milestone.
The An Phu intersection project has a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND, built according to a three-story intersection model including a tunnel, overpass and central roundabout. The project plays the role of connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway with Mai Chi Tho Avenue, Dong Van Cong Street and Luong Dinh Cua Street, contributing to reducing congestion at the eastern gateway of the city.
To date, the project has put into operation a number of important items such as underpass HC1-01 at the Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong intersection, underpass HC1-02 connecting the expressway with Mai Chi Tho Avenue, branch N2 bridge from the expressway to Mai Chi Tho Avenue and branch N3 bridge from Mai Chi Tho Avenue turning left into Dong Van Cong street.
