On May 19, the project to build Tu Lien bridge and the road at both ends of the bridge with a total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND was officially started.
The project is about 5.15km long, starting at Nghi Tam Street (Tay Ho District), ending at Truong Sa Street (Dong Anh District).

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, after more than 20 days of construction, contractors have leveled the ground and constructed on a distance of about 2km of the East England access road.
With the river-crossing bridge component project, it is noted that in both the Red River and Duong River, many barges are "carrying" machinery to conduct geological drilling.
A representative of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that contractors are drilling geology to build the main bridge piers across the river, this work is carried out day and night.

For the inner city area, after nearly 1 month of construction, the Tu Lien bridge project in Tay Ho district has not yet been constructed at the site.
The reason is that the project site is about 2km long and the intersection with Nghi Tam Street passing through the residential area has not been cleared.
The Tu Lien Bridge and Road project at both ends of the bridge has been approved, including 4 component projects, including 3 component projects for site clearance and 1 investment project to build Tu Lien Bridge and access roads.
Component projects for site clearance in 3 districts: Tay Ho, Long Bien, Dong Anh (in the wards of Quang An, Yen Phu, Tu Lien, Ngoc Thuy, Xuan Canh, Dong Hoi) have a total investment of about 4,332 billion VND.
The total area of land acquisition and clearance is about 62.53 hectares with a total expected of about 701 cases of land acquisition (412 cases of residential land, 280 cases of agricultural land and land of organizations, public land), of which about 257 cases of residential land are expected to be resettled.

Assessing the volume of land cleared by districts for the project, a representative of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the land within the construction scope of the Dong Anh district project has been implemented by the Dong Anh district People's Committee at about 90%, basically with land for overall construction.
With the site in Tay Ho and Long Bien districts, the two districts have completed the survey and counting plan.
Regarding the relocation and resettlement of households affected by the project, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that Tay Ho District has the largest number of people having to relocate and resettle.
"Currently, the city has agreed to arrange a resettlement housing fund in Dong Anh district to serve households that have to relocate to serve the project. The investor is coordinating with the People's Committee of Long Bien District, Tay Ho to carry out support for the implementation of the resettlement area, and will then relocate households subject to site clearance to live there" - said the investor's representative.
