On the afternoon of September 28, Mr. Tran Hong Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction inspected key national projects and works in the transport sector in Thai Nguyen province, including the investment project to build the Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway.
To date, Thai Nguyen province has compensated for site clearance to more than 95% and handed over 90% of the site to the construction unit, of which 24km has been handed over to the route. The work of relocating technical infrastructure and implementing resettlement areas is being carried out according to plan.
At the inspection, the leaders of Thai Nguyen province proposed that the Ministry of Construction study and agree on the investment policy to build a number of intersections with important connecting locations to contribute to maximizing the investment efficiency of the Cho Moi - Bac Kan route.
Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh highly appreciated the sense of responsibility in site clearance of Thai Nguyen province, demonstrating political determination and determination in leadership and direction of the province.
The leaders of the Ministry of Construction suggested that Thai Nguyen province continue to closely coordinate with investors and construction units, creating favorable conditions for projects to be implemented on schedule. Pay attention to resettlement work, ensuring maximum benefits for people in the project area.
At the same time, assigning relevant units of the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with localities to study and advise on plans to submit to the Ministry's leaders for consideration and decision on proposals of Thai Nguyen province.
The Cho Moi - Bac Kan Expressway passes through Thanh Thinh, Thanh Mai communes and Bac Kan ward in Thai Nguyen province with a total of 1,624 households and organizations affected. The total estimated cost of compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement is 671 billion VND.
The Cho Moi - Bac Kan Expressway project is about 28.8km long, designed according to the standards of a type 80 expressway, with a scale of 4 lanes, a design speed of 80km/h with a total investment of more than VND 5,750 billion, invested by Project Management Board 2 (Ministry of Construction).
