On December 9, Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Transport) held a ceremony to launch the construction of Package 15-XL to construct Dai Ngai 1 Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, part of the Dai Ngai Bridge Construction Investment Project.
Package 15-XL for construction of Dai Ngai 1 bridge and approach roads at both ends of the bridge has a total construction value of 3,907 billion VND.
Dai Ngai 1 Bridge is over 3km long, the main bridge is 2.59km long, 21.5m wide, crossing Dinh An channel of Hau River, near the East Sea estuary, connecting Tra Cu district (Tra Vinh province) to Cu Lao Dung district (Soc Trang province).

When completed, Dai Ngai 1 Bridge, together with Rach Mieu Bridge, Ham Luong Bridge, and Co Chien Bridge, will improve the transportation capacity of the Mekong Delta region, creating convenient traffic connections between the southern coastal provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; shortening travel time, reducing transportation costs, expanding trade and breaking the monopoly of National Highway 1A.
The Dai Ngai Bridge construction investment project is located on National Highway 60 with a length of 15km, starting at the intersection with National Highway 54 in Hung Hoa Commune, Tieu Can District (Tra Vinh Province), and ending at the intersection with Nam Song Hau National Highway in Long Duc Commune, Long Phu District (Soc Trang Province). This is a Group A project, a special-grade road traffic project, with an investment capital of VND 7,962 billion. The entire project has 5 intersections, 7 bridges, divided into 4 bidding packages.
