On the night of December 4 and this morning, December 5, the forces of the Lam Dong Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1 and the construction unit worked all night, mobilizing maximum human resources and means to handle landslides on Prenn Pass, section Km224+600 - Km224+700.

At the scene, under the chairmanship of Lam Dong Province's No. 1 Investment and Construction Project Management Board, vehicles and mechanical equipment worked continuously to handle the serious landslide.
Through discussion, Mr. Pham Ha, a supervisor of the Lam Dong Province Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1, said that immediately after receiving information about the landslide, the unit activated an emergency response plan, mobilizing maximum excavators, dump trucks, saws and other construction equipment to clear the site.

In a short time, with drastic intervention, the forces dug up and cleared hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock that had spilled onto the road. At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Forest Protection Department and forest owners to cut down and handle pine trees on the top of the slope that show signs of being uprooted and at risk of falling.
On the night of November 4 and this morning, favorable weather has helped the force easily access and handle the scene safely; at the same time, created conditions for the construction unit to speed up the progress of clearing rocks and soil, temporarily reinforcing cracks on the slope to limit the risk of secondary landslides.

According to a report by the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, from December 2 to 4, prolonged heavy rain caused the slope of the positive slope at Km224+600 - Km224+700 on the Prenn Pass route to have broken structure, creating large cracks running along the hillside.
A large amount of rock and soil flooded onto the road, causing complete traffic congestion. More seriously, many pine trees on the top of the slope were eroded, tilted towards the road, posing a potential risk of falling onto traffic.

Traffic regulation plans are being implemented synchronously, guiding people to move through alternative routes to avoid the risk of insecurity.

Immediately after receiving information about the landslide, the authorities activated an emergency response plan, mobilizing maximum excavators, dump trucks, saws and other construction equipment to clear the scene
Currently, it is the end of the year, this is the peak tourist season in Lam Dong with many important events taking place, ensuring the smooth operation of Prenn Pass - the main artery connecting directly to the Da Lat Administrative Center is the top priority task.

The leader of the Project Management Board affirmed that the construction forces are making every effort, working continuously day and night to shorten the repair time, reopen the road soon to serve the travel needs of people, tourists and the event organization.
Currently, the construction unit is implementing many items in parallel to reinforce the slope, handle cracks by drilling anchors, reinforcing and releasing soil and rocks to avoid re-erosion.

With the efforts of the forces, it is expected that on December 5, Prenn Pass will reopen to traffic at certain times. The authorities will have a specific announcement on the opening of traffic.
