Connecting Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway
The road project from My Lam Mineral Spring Tourist Area to National Highway 2D connecting to Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway is 8.9km long with a total investment of more than 487 billion VND, designed to urban standards.
The project is invested by the Department of Transport of Tuyen Quang province, starting construction at the end of 2021. The project is expected to improve the efficiency of exploiting the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway. At the same time, it will increase connectivity and attract investment to My Lam mineral spring tourist area, Yen Son district.
According to the reporter's records, up to now, nearly 9 km of the entire route is under construction, of which more than 7 km has been paved with layer 1 asphalt concrete and completed auxiliary items. However, some sections of the route through Tuyen Quang City have not yet been cleared.
To implement this project, 209 households of Yen Son district and Tuyen Quang city had their land recovered with a total area of more than 20 hectares.
According to the investor, the contractor has started construction in the areas where the land has been handed over and is speeding up the progress. Most of the main items of the project have been completed. The route is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
Highway 37 bypass
The route to avoid Son Duong town and build a bridge across Pho Day river has a total length of more than 4 km, with a total investment of over 329 billion VND, invested by the Department of Transport of Tuyen Quang province. The project started construction in November 2021.
To date, after more than 3 years of implementation, the road section of the project has been basically completed. Along the entire route, the road surface has been paved with asphalt concrete and auxiliary items such as sidewalks and lighting have been completed.
Currently, more than 400 m of the final section of the route after the hard rock breaking process has been cleared, the contractor is implementing the construction of the roadbed and some auxiliary items.
According to the contract, this route must be completed by the end of 2024. However, due to problems with the site and some underground works in the Pho Day River overpass area adjacent to National Highway 37, the construction must be extended.
It is expected that this hundred billion dong bypass will be completed and open to traffic in the first quarter of 2025.
Expressway connecting Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang
The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (Phase 1), the section through Tuyen Quang province, has a total length of about 77 km, with a total investment of 6,800 billion VND, invested by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board. The section through Tuyen Quang province was started at the end of October 2023.
This is the second expressway project to be implemented in Tuyen Quang province after Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway and is also the longest expressway in the area, contributing to completing traffic infrastructure, shortening travel time to Ha Giang province and Thanh Thuy international border gate.
According to the investor's report, up to now, the construction site has been handed over nearly 57/69.7km, reaching 82% of the plan, simultaneously constructing 6 road construction packages and 17/22 bridges on the route, with 90 construction points. The total cumulative implementation value reached 19.78% of the contract value.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee said that up to now, the number of problems of the project under the province's authority has not been completely resolved, so the construction progress has not met the schedule. Currently, 15% of the land has not been cleared.
"Tuyen Quang province is focusing on site clearance to hand over to the construction unit before the Lunar New Year, with the determination to strive to complete the project in 2025," Mr. Tuan informed.
