In the early morning of September 24, red sand from the hillside area along the road continued to overflow into DT. 715, section Km6 through Ham Thuan commune, Lam Dong province.
Recorded at the scene, the red sand layer covered the road surface, stretching for dozens of meters. The thick sand overflow made it difficult for vehicles to pass through the area.
Some cars have sunken wheels, while many motorbikes slip and fall when passing by.
DT. 715 is a key road connecting National Highway 1 with Mui Ne, Bau Trang, so the number of vehicles passing through is quite large. The situation of sand overflowing onto the road surface directly affects traffic on the route.
From 4 am on the same day, a local transport unit mobilized excavators and dump trucks to the scene to rake away the red sand layer.
Previously, on the afternoon of September 23, sand spilled onto the road at the same location. Forces were on duty to regulate traffic and handle the road surface. By 6 pm on the same day, the cleanup was completed.
However, prolonged heavy rain overnight caused the red sand to continue flowing down the road in the early morning of September 24.
This area has a terrain where one side is a deep abyss and the other side is a sand dune. When it rains heavily, sand from the hillside often spills onto the road surface, causing difficulties for vehicles and affecting traffic.
