Lam Dong - Heavy rain caused red sand floods to fall and cover National Highway 1, making it difficult for vehicles to travel.

At about 4:30 p.m. on November 1, red sand flooded from a high sand hill, following the rainwater flowing down to cover the National Highway 1 section Km1651+100 through Luong Dong village, Luong Son commune, Lam Dong province.

At the scene, sand spilled down the road in both directions for vehicles. The overflow sand section is about 100m long. The thick mud and sand cover caused the wheels to sink, making it difficult for vehicles to circulate. The spillway is located about 150m from the road.

The local government mobilized excavators and dump trucks to urgently scrap the sand layer on the road surface. The authorities have also regulated traffic from a distance.
