On December 11, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Xuan - Deputy Director of the Communications Department of Deo Ca Group said that the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway project will be inaugurated on December 19, 2025.
After more than 1,000 days and nights of efforts to construct the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway, the project is now nearing the finish line, 8 months ahead of schedule.
Recorded at the project site, thousands of officers, engineers, workers, machinery and equipment are working urgently. Each construction team is focusing on each remaining work to urgently complete and inaugurate the project on December 19.
The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway Project is 88km long, of which the road has been paved with 80/83.5km, all 60 bridges on the main route have completed the bridge deck. The three tunnels on the route are 4.5km long, and currently tunnel No. 1 and 2 have completed the entire workload.
At tunnel No. 3, there are currently more than 500 personnel focusing on the construction of the rolling work day and night. According to the design, tunnel No. 3 (3,200m long) on the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway is the largest tunnel of the North - South Expressway project, phase 2021 - 2025.
The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway project passes through the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai with a total investment of more than 20,400 billion VND. Of which, the section through Quang Ngai province is 60.3km long and Gia Lai province is 27.7km. Phase 1, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway has a scale of 4 lanes, speed of 80km/h.
The project is invested by Project Management Board 2, the contractor is the consortium of Deo Ca Group. According to the contract, the project completion date is August 2026, however, the contractors have made efforts to complete and inaugurate the project on December 19, 2025.
After more than 1,000 days and nights of rapid construction with the highest sense of responsibility and determination, the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway project is on its way to the finish line. When the project is completed and put into use, it will not only reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 1 but also open a new economic connection axis, promote regional development and create growth momentum for the whole country.
