Based on the forecast information of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at 1:00 p.m. on September 5, 2024 on the impact of storm No. 3 (storm YAGI), it is assessed that this is a very strong storm, with a high level of natural disaster risk, complex developments, and the potential to affect and threaten the safety of operations at airports.
After discussion and listening to reports from units, Director Dinh Viet Thang requested to temporarily stop receiving and operating aircraft at some airports according to local time.
At Van Don International Airport, temporarily stop receiving and operating aircraft from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 7, 2024.
Cat Bi Airport temporarily stops receiving and operating aircraft from 05:00 to 16:00 on September 7, 2024.
At Noi Bai International Airport, stop receiving and operating aircraft from 10:00 to 19:00 on September 7, 2024.
At Tho Xuan Airport, stop receiving and operating aircraft from 12:00 to 22:00 on September 7, 2024.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to be responsible for announcing appropriate aviation information according to current regulations and ensuring absolute safety in flight operations.
For the Northern Airport Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the Airport Authority to be responsible for inspecting and supervising the safety of operations at airports according to regulations.
