On the afternoon of August 5, at km24 of Provincial Road 717 (through Me Pu 7 village, Nam Thanh commune, Lam Dong province), rocks and soil on the hill suddenly collapsed, spilling onto the road surface, obstructing traffic through Ta Pon Pass. The cause was determined to be due to heavy rain that had lasted for many days before.
Immediately after receiving the report from the people, the Duc Linh Traffic Police Team of Ham Tan Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police) quickly arrived at the scene.

A large amount of rock and soil spilled onto the road, making it difficult for vehicles to circulate. In particular, this location is a winding, rugged mountain pass.

Traffic police have coordinated with Nam Thanh Commune Police and local forces to mobilize excavators to clear rocks and soil on the road. After about an hour of handling, traffic was smooth again, without any prolonged congestion.
This is also one of the routes from the old Binh Thuan province (now Nam Thanh commune) to the center of Lam Dong province, connecting National Highway 55 with National Highway 20.
