Initial information, the chain collision occurred at about 8:15 pm on June 20 on National Highway 20, the section through Bao Loc Pass in Da Huoai 2 commune (Lam Dong).

At the above time, a container truck (unclear license plate and driver's identity) carrying dozens of tons of sweet potatoes was traveling in the direction from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City.
When going down Bao Loc Pass to a curve, the container truck suddenly lost control, rushed to the left side of the road and collided in a chain reaction with 2 cars and 1 truck.

The strong collision caused all 4 vehicles to be heavily damaged. Many meters of roadside guardrails were knocked down.
After the collision, the container truck and a 5-seater car plunged into a deep abyss on the side of the road. In which, the container truck was stuck at a depth of about 20m thanks to many large trees blocking below.

The car was lying about 15m from the edge of the cliff, the body of the car was seriously deformed.
According to initial records, at the time of the accident, there were more than 10 people on the related vehicles. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Upon receiving the news, functional forces of Lam Dong province were present at the scene to regulate traffic, ensure safety for vehicles passing through the area; and at the same time organize scene examination and investigate the cause of the accident.
Rescue forces were also mobilized to deploy a plan to bring the distressed vehicles out of the deep abyss.

At about 0:15 on June 21, after many hours of effort, rescue forces brought the car to the road surface in a seriously damaged condition.
As for container trucks, due to their large tonnage and being located in a complex location under a deep abyss, they cannot be brought up yet.

Rescue work for this vehicle is temporarily suspended and will continue to be deployed when conditions are met.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
