On the morning of September 24, information from the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province said that Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province - had just directly visited the construction site, encouraged, presented gifts and assigned tasks to the investor and contractor of the Kenh Vang bridge project in Trung Kenh commune, Luong Tai district.
The investment project to build the Golden Canal Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong, has a route length of about 13.4km, invested by the Traffic Construction Project Management Board (Bac Ninh Department of Transport).
With a total cost of over VND2,182 billion, the construction project includes the 740m long, 23.5m wide Kenh Vang bridge, designed with a permanent scale, prestressed reinforced concrete structure; the approach roads at both ends of the bridge are 12.6km long, with a 15m wide road surface.
Construction location in Gia Binh district, Luong Tai (Bac Ninh province) and Nam Sach district (Hai Duong province).
Visiting the construction site directly, Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan acknowledged and commended the efforts and initiative of the investor and contractor.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan said that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly praised Bac Ninh province for organizing the Conference to announce the Planning and Investment Promotion combined with the groundbreaking of the Golden Canal Bridge project - this is not only a meaningful project for the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong but also has the meaning of inter-regional connectivity, something that the Government is very interested in.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Kenh Vang Bridge is a project with many meaningful points when it started construction on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of Luong Tai district (September 1999 - September 2024), was completed on the occasion of the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and was completed on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Bac Ninh province (1997 - 2027).
Previously, on September 22, Bac Ninh province held a conference to announce the Planning and Investment Promotion combined with the groundbreaking ceremony of the Golden Canal Bridge project, with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The groundbreaking ceremony was changed from in-person to online, which was highly appreciated by the Prime Minister. The entire estimated budget for the groundbreaking ceremony arranged by the investor and enterprise to start construction directly at the project site was used to support the people affected by storm No. 3.
