On January 5, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that during the 4 days of New Year holiday 2026, the Corporation's bus units operated 35,489 bus trips, serving 245,532 passengers.
According to Transerco, to meet the increasing travel demand of people during the holidays, affiliated units have proactively developed operating plans, strictly implementing the direction of the Hanoi City People's Committee and the Department of Construction. Thanks to early preparation and scientific organization, public passenger transport activities throughout the holidays took place stably and safely.

Representatives of Transerco said that the objectives in the passenger service plan for the New Year holiday are basically completed. Bus operations ensure correct bus schedules, service quality is maintained; the work of ensuring traffic order, safety and security at bus stations and parking spots is strengthened.
In the field of public passenger transport, bus routes operate stably and promptly to meet the travel needs of people, especially during peak hours. The coordination between units is deployed synchronously and effectively.
At bus stations and parking spots, Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Bus Station Exploitation Center have closely coordinated with functional forces, strengthened inspection and supervision of vehicles after departure. The work of controlling ticket prices and distorted fares is strictly implemented, promptly preventing the situation of collecting fares higher than the prescribed level.
Thanks to proactive regulation and service organization, bus stations basically do not have passenger congestion, creating favorable conditions for people to use safe and civilized transport services.
Along with that, Hanoi Parking Point Exploitation Company has arranged 413 officials and employees to be on duty 24/24 hours at 148 bus stations and parking spots in the area, meeting the increasing demand for vehicle parking during holidays.
Statistics show that from January 1 to January 4, 2026, bus stations under Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Bus Station Exploitation Center served 8,979 trips, of which 402 trips were increased, meeting the travel needs of 66,185 passengers. Vehicle parking recorded about 82,000 trips, including 67,600 car trips and 14,400 motorbike trips.
