Immediately after the rehearsal of the parade and parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day (A80) at Ba Dinh Square on the morning of August 30, the public passenger transport system by bus and urban rail has been extremely efficient, contributing to quickly evacuating a large number of people from the central area.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at major transit points such as Cat Linh Station, Cau Giay Station and Long Bien Station, the number of passengers pouring in is very large. To reduce the pressure, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center has mobilized maximum bus routes.
E02 route in Long Bien quickly increased the number of passengers; BRT route shortened the frequency to 6 minutes/trip to promptly relieve passengers at Giang Vo station. Thanks to that, the transportation took place smoothly, ensuring people returned safely and conveniently after the event.
A representative of the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center said that a total of 39 bus routes were adjusted to serve the general approval ceremony and the official celebration. In which: 4 routes change routes right from the time of traffic diversion (route 35A, 25, 50, 26); 35 routes both adjust services and extend operating time (opening stations early, closing stations late), directly connecting with urban railway stations and major transit points such as BRT01, 01, 01, 02, 32, 90, 105, 107, E02, E09, 123, 28, 29, 20A, 22A...

Regarding the plan to connect and relieve passengers, the Center also deploys 8 bus routes (02, 99, 142, 08B, E02, E09, 35A, BRT01) at Cat Linh station with 83 vehicles, frequency of 58 minutes/trip.
Cau Giay Station/Cau Giay transit point has 14 routes (143, 58, 13, 161, 09B, 90, 25, 32, 28, 49, 09A, 07, 96, 105) with 130 vehicles, frequency of 35 minutes/trip.
Long Bien transit point has 9 routes (69, 47A, 43, 65, 54, 100, 98, 17, 11) with 88 vehicles, frequency of 57 minutes/trip.
Along with buses, urban metro is also fully exploited to support passenger clearance. On peak days of August 30, the train operated continuously from 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; during peak hours (4:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) it was extended to only 6 minutes/trip, other times were 10 minutes/trip.

According to Mr. Thai Ho Phuong - Director of the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center, by 10:15, the number of passengers at Cau Giay Station had decreased and returned to normal; by 11:20, the number of passengers at Cat Linh Station had also decreased, no longer overloaded like at 9:30.
