On August 27, leaders of Phu Son Lam Ha Commune People's Committee said that the second victim in the traffic accident that occurred in the area was a 2-year-old child who died in the hospital.
Previously, at about 4:20 pm on August 26, a truck carrying pigs with license plate 49C-300. 08 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Manh (born 1993, residing in Phi Nom, Duc Trong commune, Lam Dong) was traveling in the direction from Dam Rong 1 commune to Dinh Van Lam Ha commune.
When reaching the curved road section on Phu Son Pass, the truck suddenly had a left rear tire burst, lost control and overturned to the right.
The truck bed crushed a car with license plate 49A-846.36 traveling in the same direction, causing the car to be crushed and heavily damaged.
There were 7 people in the car, all residing in Lang To, Dam Rong 1 commune. After the accident, driver K'Mac (born 1997) and some people in the car escaped.
Ms. K'H (born 1993) and her 2-year-old son were trapped in the car. Functional forces and people quickly approached, took the mother and child out and transferred them to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, Ms. K'H died later.
Due to being too seriously injured, the 2-year-old child - Mrs. Ka H's son - also did not survive after being treated at the hospital.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported: Immediately after the accident, functional forces and people quickly approached the scene, supported to bring trapped people out and rescued the victims.
Initially, functional agencies determined that the rear left tire of the truck exploded before the accident occurred, causing the car to lose control, overturn and run over a car traveling in the same direction.
The accident is being further investigated by functional agencies to clarify the cause and handle it according to regulations.
