On July 14, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese golf team officially announced the list of 6 players to be awarded slots to participate in ASIAD 20.
Accordingly, the Vietnamese golf team lineup includes players Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, Nguyen Tuan Anh (male) and Le Chuc An, Nguyen Viet Gia Han, Le Nguyen Minh Anh - Anna Le.
The Vietnamese golf team determined to compete in ASIAD 20 with the goal of learning and accumulating experience.
Previously, the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) and the coaching staff of the Vietnam Golf Team selected 10 faces into the national qualifying team for professional consideration to select the official force including Nguyen Anh Minh, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Le Khanh Hung, Ho Anh Huy, Nguyen Trong Hoang, Le Chuc An, Nguyen Viet Gia Han, Le Nguyen Minh Anh, Nguyen Khanh Linh, Nguyen Bao Chau.
The golf event of ASIAD 20 is held from September 30 to October 3. 4 sets of medals put into competition include men's singles, women's singles, men's team, women's team.
After passing the selection criteria in the first and second stages, the Vietnamese golf team has identified 6 official golfers to participate in ASIAD 20.
This year, the Vietnamese golf team is planning to participate in ASIAD 20 from socialized funds.
Among them, 4 golfers (3 males, 1 female) will contribute socialized funds from VGA and 2 golfers participate with self-sufficient socialized funds (implemented by athlete's family).
With 6 golfers already determined to participate in ASIAD 20, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese golf team and management levels will have specific decisions on the funding for going to Japan to compete.
