Golf player Le Chuc An receives a place to compete in the 2026 WAAP tournament

Golf player Le Chuc An is the only representative of Vietnam to receive a competition spot for the 2026 ASEAN-Pacific Women's Amateur Championship (WAAP 2026).

The information has been confirmed by the Organizing Committee. Golf player Le Chuc An is the representative of Vietnam competing in this tournament from February 12 to 15, 2026 in New Zealand.

Le Chuc An participated in the WAAP tournament in the previous 2 times in 2024 and 2025.

In the 2024 competition results, Le Chuc An did not pass the qualifying round. However, at the WAAP 2025 tournament, Le Chuc An had a dong-ranked 30th place in the women's group. This is Le Chuc An's best individual result at the WAAP tournament.

Le Chuc An has just increased 16 places to rise to the current ranking of 186 amateur women's golf in the world.

The 17-year-old female golfer from Vietnam won an individual bronze medal at the 33rd SEA Games, so her accumulated points have been positively increased. The history of Vietnamese golf records the first time we have had female golfers win medals at the Southeast Asian Games. In 2025, Le Chuc An will be the women's champion of the National Golf Championship.

In October this year, Le Chuc An participated in the 2025 Women's Amateur Team Golf Tournament in Singapore. In this award, she was ranked 82nd overall.

The Organizing Committee of the WAAP 2026 tournament announced the award of prizes to 84 golfers from 28 countries and territories around the world to compete.

The champion golfer will have the opportunity to participate in 3 prestigious major tournaments including AIG Women's Open, Amundi Evian Championship and Chevron Championship. In addition, the champion can also participate in other important international tournaments such as the Augusta National Amateur and the Women's Amateur Championship.
