Le Chuc An is the only representative of Vietnamese women's golf to participate in this tournament. The competition program of the 2026 Asian-Pacific Amateur Women's Golf Championship (WAAP) takes place from February 12 to 15 in New Zealand.
According to regulations, the results of the first 2 rounds will be calculated to cut out and select 50 people with the best results to continue.
Le Chuc An competed in 36 holes after the first 2 rounds to achieve a total score of +6 with the number of strokes being 74 and 76 respectively. Chuc An's achievement helped her overcome the cut-off at the tournament.
In round 3, Le Chuc An continued to maintain stable form and achieved par points with 72 strokes. Temporarily, Le Chuc An has a total score of +6 and is in T42 position.
A year ago, Le Chuc An participated in this tournament and passed the cut-off. This year, she continued to achieve this result, thereby marking the 2nd consecutive achievement in the Asian-Pacific Amateur Women's Golf Championship. Le Chuc An will continue to compete in the 4th round to determine her overall position in New Zealand.
On the world amateur women's golf rankings just announced, Le Chuc An dropped 1 place to 161st. However, she is still the Vietnamese female golfer with the best position in this ranking. Last year, Le Chuc An competed and won a women's individual bronze medal at SEA Games 33 in Thailand.
