The program was attended by leaders of the Central Youth Union, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City and representatives of departments, branches and sectors. In particular, 8,800 volunteers, carefully selected from 43 universities, colleges and localities across the city, were present in large numbers, demonstrating their readiness to contribute to the big festival of the river boy.
At the upcoming ceremony, this powerful volunteer force will be the extension of the Organizing Committee, taking on many important tasks. This force will directly participate in guiding delegates, distributing necessities at Ba Dinh Square and along the parade and march routes, supporting the work of ensuring security, order, environmental sanitation, and welcoming domestic and international delegations.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, emphasized the scale and importance of this task: "This is a large amount of work, requiring good health, scientific working methods and above all, the pioneering spirit and aspiration to contribute of the youth union members. Every smile, every action of your students shows the image of the capital's youth and Vietnamese youth in general".
To ensure that volunteers can best complete their tasks, the Hanoi Youth Union has prepared more than 200 cars for pick-up and drop-off, ensuring safety. At the program, volunteers were given uniforms, cards and participated in an in-depth training session on necessary skills such as first aid, security support, emergency handling procedures, etc.
Encouraging the spirit of young people, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City shared: "From seemingly small things such as supporting delegates, guiding the flow, giving a bottle of water... all are practical, meaningful and indispensable tasks in the overall success of the Ceremony. You are representing the image of a civilized and hospitable capital".
