News from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on November 11 said: Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Tri Thanh visited and worked with the Party Committee of Nam Tra My Commune on overcoming the consequences of floods and providing support to affected households.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Nam Tra My commune, the impact of two storms No. 12 and No. 13 and prolonged heavy rain caused heavy damage to people, property, infrastructure and traffic, with a total preliminary damage estimated at more than 73 billion VND. The commune recorded one person missing; 46 households were affected in terms of housing, of which 10 houses were completely damaged.
National Highway 40B suffered serious landslides; the whole commune had more than 150 landslides with a total volume of more than 110,000m3 of rock and soil. The clean water supply system in the central area of the commune is also seriously damaged.
After the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Tri Thanh directly inspected the landslides and presented 600 million VND to support the construction of new houses for 10 households and 46 gifts to households with heavy damage to their houses.
On this occasion, the City Young Entrepreneurs Association presented 50 gifts, worth more than 60 million VND, to support households in difficult circumstances in the locality.
