On November 8, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Da Nang city announced that the unit had issued a plan to organize the National Great Unity Festival in 2025, towards the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).
The theme throughout the 2025 National Great Unity Festival in Residential Areas is identified by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City as: "Solidarity, sharing, towards people affected by natural disasters".
This is to spread the spirit of solidarity and mutual love; thereby mobilizing the strength, responsibility and cooperation of all classes of people, agencies, units and enterprises in supporting people in areas severely affected by natural disasters, quickly overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives.
Previously, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City set a goal of organizing the National Great Unity Festival in 100% of residential areas in the city; at the same time, piloting the expansion of the festival organization scope at agencies, businesses, and schools, following the instructions of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
However, due to the impact caused by floods on people in the city, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City has issued a document adjusting the orientation for organizing the Great Unity Festival in residential areas in 2025.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee recommends that residential areas, agencies, units, businesses and schools proactively adjust the content and program of organizing the festival in a cost-effective and practical direction, associated with support, relief and disaster recovery activities.
In localities that have suffered heavy damage, the festival's activities will focus on community-based content such as visiting, encouraging, and helping affected households.
Support organizations and individuals to carry out humanitarian and relief activities; coordinate with armed forces, unions and volunteers to clean up the environment, restore production; propagate natural disaster prevention, environmental protection, and climate change response.
For residential areas that are less or not affected, the Standing Committee of the City Front requires launching the "Joining hands for the people in disaster areas" movement, mobilizing support for materials, funding, and essential necessities; organizing "Defense Buses" or other appropriate forms to transport relief goods, send volunteers to support affected localities.
At the same time, localities need to focus on honoring and honoring outstanding collectives and individuals in charity work, relief work and building the great national unity bloc.
