Connecting businesses, raising housing standards
In the "Quang Trung Campaign", Da Nang city supported the repair and reconstruction of a total of 413 houses. These are houses that were completely collapsed, damaged over 70% and damaged from 50 - 70% in the recent floods.
In which, the first house of "Quang Trung Campaign" - the house of Mr. Alang Dich's family, in A Tep village, Avuong mountainous commune, constructed by Da Nang City Police, was completed and handed over on December 25.
Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city said: in the "Quang Trung Campaign", in addition to the level of support according to the State's regulations and the City Relief Committee, many localities have proactively expanded resources through socialization.
In Tra Tan commune, local authorities are mobilizing more organizations, businesses and philanthropists to increase the investment level for each house, ensuring solid works, meeting the long-term living needs of people in flood-stricken areas.
Connecting socialized resources helps many households whose houses have been completely eroded to receive support far exceeding the minimum level. Some houses achieve a total investment of 200 to 250 million VND, meeting the "3 solid" criteria, creating peace of mind for people before the rainy and storm season.
Not only supporting construction costs, socialized resources also contribute to completing auxiliary items, helping houses after floods not only "have shelter", but are truly sustainable places to live.
In Tra Leng commune, mobilizing resources from charity funds and social organizations has helped the locality build new and repair many heavily damaged houses, with a total mobilized cost of up to billions of VND.
In Hiep Duc commune, each household building a new house receives support combined with budget and socialization, and is also given essential items to stabilize their initial life.
Reality from localities shows that when resources – especially socialized resources are located at the right address, used transparently and effectively, the trust of businesses, charities and communities is strengthened, creating a foundation for long-term mobilization in post-disaster support programs.
Armed forces side by side with the people
Along with socialized resources, the "Quang Trung Campaign" in Da Nang also made a strong impression with the direct and responsible participation of the armed forces, police, militia and mass organizations.
In many areas, officers and soldiers directly supported the construction and repair of houses, transportation of materials and technical supervision, ensuring progress in harsh weather conditions.
In Tra Leng commune, army and militia forces are on duty closely following the project for many consecutive weeks. Despite prolonged heavy rain affecting construction, the forces still take advantage of favorable times to complete important items, determined to help people have safe shelter before the Lunar New Year.
In Hiep Duc commune, armed forces, police and mass organizations coordinate to support working days, transport materials and organize construction according to the solid house model. In border communes, the police force deploys the "3 together" model with people in resettlement areas, both supporting construction and promptly grasping and removing difficulties arising during the implementation process.
The presence of the armed forces is not only meaningful in terms of technical and human resources support, but also a spiritual support for people in disaster-stricken areas. When officers and soldiers eat, live, and work together with people, trust is strengthened, creating motivation for people to soon stabilize their lives and overcome difficulties after the fierce flood.
The reality from the "Quang Trung Campaign" in Da Nang shows that post-disaster social security work is only truly sustainable when there is close coordination between the State, society and the armed forces. Socialization is promoted properly to improve the quality of support; local authorities play a coordinating role, ensuring transparency; the armed forces are the core in organizing implementation at the scene.
This approach helps support activities not stop at the level of immediate relief, but towards the goal of long-term settlement, reducing the risk of re-poverty after natural disasters. Each completed house is not only a shelter from rain and sun, but also a fulcrum for people in difficult areas to restore livelihoods and rise up to stabilize their lives.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
