More than 122.6 billion VND has been allocated to support people
News from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on December 25 said: Implementing Notice No. 40/TB-MTTQ-BTT dated November 7, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City on launching the "month of Action for People in Disaster Areas", the Fatherland Front system at all levels and member organizations in the city have synchronously and drastically implemented many practical activities.
The Front system at all levels has promptly supported people in areas affected by heavy rain, floods, and landslides, contributing significantly to stabilizing people's lives and spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual love in the community.
Up to this point, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City has mobilized a total budget of more than 153.9 billion VND, along with the outstanding funds after the merger.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City has allocated more than 122.6 billion VND to support households affected by natural disasters and support localities to overcome the consequences in the fields of agriculture, forestry, healthcare, education, culture and essential infrastructure as proposed by the City People's Committee.
The remaining fund of more than 52.48 billion VND continues to be managed, ready to serve relief work in the coming time.
In parallel with the funding source, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city received 328 tons of relief goods worth about 9.133 billion VND and promptly and to the right subjects, ensuring publicity, transparency, and no backlog of relief goods.
The cooperation of member organizations
Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City said: During the "month of Action for the People in Disaster Areas", member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Da Nang City have promoted their core, proactive and creative role in mobilizing, organizing relief and directly participating in supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
The Da Nang City Labor Federation has supported more than 17,000 union members and workers with a total budget of over VND34.4 billion; visited and encouraged forces responsible for flood prevention, supported businesses in damage and supported people in other provinces with a total budget of nearly VND900 million.
The Farmers' Association of Da Nang City mobilized more than 200 cadres and members to directly participate in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in affected localities, and at the same time supported more than 170 million VND for families with human and property damage, contributing to stabilizing people's lives.
The Da Nang City Youth Union strongly mobilized the youth force, presented nearly 5,000 gifts, provided life jackets, life buoys and many rescue vehicles to deeply flooded areas and landslide areas, clearly demonstrating the shock role and volunteerism of the city's youth.
The City Women's Union mobilized over 100,000 gifts with a total value of more than 9 billion VND, organized many key support trips to severely affected areas, thereby affirming the important role of women in social security work.
The City Veterans Association mobilized more than 262 million VND, mobilizing thousands of cadres and members to participate in environmental sanitation, supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Along with that, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards in the city have proactively coordinated with the authorities and organizations to organize the review, statistics of damage, visit and support poor households, near-poor households, disadvantaged households, and lonely elderly people.
Mobilize local forces to participate in environmental sanitation, house repair, clearing sewers, and support the evacuation of people from dangerous areas.
At the same time, many practical support models were organized such as kitchens for people in disaster areas, centralized relief reception points, shock teams to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production...
The results of the implementation of the "month of Action for People in Disaster Areas" in 2025 continue to affirm the role of a center for solidarity, gathering and promoting the strength of the entire people of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city.
At the same time, it shows the synchronous participation, responsibility of the entire political system and the solidarity of the whole society, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party, State and local government in caring for people's lives and ensuring social security.
