On the evening of March 26, the Central Youth Union organized the Program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026) and awarded the Ly Tu Trong Award 2026 to 100 outstanding Youth Union officials nationwide.
Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet attended and spoke at the ceremony.

The Ly Tu Trong Award is a noble award from the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded to the Secretary of the Youth Union Branch; Deputy Secretary, Secretary of the Youth Union at the grassroots level; Youth Union officials directly above the grassroots level with outstanding achievements in studying, working, working, in youth union work and youth and children's movements.
The award aims to encourage, cheer and commend the team of outstanding Youth Union officials who contribute to consolidating, building and developing the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization to become increasingly strong. At the same time, it creates motivation for Youth Union officials to constantly train, strive and mature, contributing their intelligence and youth in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
In addition to the general standards, Youth Union officials selected to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award have outstanding achievements, are typical and set an example.
For Youth Union officials: age not exceeding 35 (calculated up to the time of proposal for awarding the Award); having achievements rewarded in work for each subject according to regulations; having many initiatives and creative ideas recognized and applied in practice with high efficiency.
Priority is given to youth union officials with particularly outstanding achievements such as: bravely saving people, preventing social evils, volunteering for community life or performing noble gestures recognized and highly appreciated by the people and society, having many initiatives and creative ideas applied in practice and achieving effectiveness.
For Youth Union organizations where Youth Union officials are proposed to be awarded the Award, they must have outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth and children's movements in 2025.


Based on the delegate standards of the Ly Tu Trong Award Regulations, in 2026, from 146 dossiers of provincial and city youth unions and affiliated youth unions, the Award Selection Council selected 100 outstanding delegates to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2026, including 61 male delegates, 39 female delegates; 47 delegates who are grassroots-level Youth Union officials directly above, 31 delegates who are grassroots-level Youth Union officials, and 22 delegates who are Youth Union Secretary.
Among the 100 delegates receiving the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2026, there are 9 delegates who are ethnic minorities and 3 delegates who are religious.
This year's Ly Tu Trong Award honors 35 comrades who are outstanding Youth Union officials in residential areas, 30 delegates in the school sector, 17 delegates in the administrative - non-business sector, 15 delegates in the armed forces sector and 3 delegates in the business sector.
