On the evening of March 26, in Hanoi, the Central Youth Union organized a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; awarded the Ly Tu Trong Award to 100 outstanding Youth Union officials in 2026 and received the First-class Labor Medal.
Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet attended and spoke at the ceremony.
Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet said that over the past 95 years, under the leadership of the Party, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has continuously grown, truly becoming a socialist school of youth, a reliable reserve team of the Party, a place to nurture the ideals, bravery, intelligence and aspiration to contribute of the young Vietnamese generation.
The history of our national revolution is deeply imprinted with the imprint of youth. From the years of struggle for national independence, to the long-term and arduous resistance wars, generations of young people have " stood up to answer the river and mountains' words", volunteering at the forefront, writing heroic pages of the nation's history.
In peace, building and protecting the Fatherland, youth continue to be the shock force in all fields: labor production, science and technology, startups, protecting national sovereignty, international integration, making important contributions to creating great achievements of historical significance for the country.
The revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union through the periods are not only vivid symbols of patriotism and will to rise up, but also affirm the pioneering and pioneering role of Vietnamese youth in every stage of the nation's development.
We are proud to affirm that every step of the country has the imprint of youth; every achievement of the nation has the worthy contribution of Vietnamese youth" - Mr. Trinh Van Quyet said.
According to Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, in those successes, there is a silent but extremely important contribution from the contingent of Youth Union officials at all levels - those who directly organize and lead the movement, are closely associated with youth, and ignite and spread the good values of youth.
The Ly Tu Trong Award presented today is the recognition and honor of typical and outstanding Youth Union officials - the core nuclei of the youth movement, bright examples of responsibility, dedication, creativity and aspiration to contribute.
According to Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the 14th National Congress of the Party has identified particularly important strategic orientations, opening a new stage of development - the era of rise of the Vietnamese nation. In that process, youth play a very large role and responsibility.
Youth are not only a force to succeed the revolutionary cause, but also a pioneering force in accessing new knowledge, mastering science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, entrepreneurship and international integration.
The aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country that our Party has identified can only become a reality when it is transformed into an aspiration to act, into a strong will to rise up of every Vietnamese youth.
Mr. Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that history has proven a profound truth: Every time the country faces major turning points, youth are always the leading force.
Today, our country is entering a new stage of development - faster, stronger, deeper in global integration and competition. The responsibility of the young generation is therefore greater than ever.
Mr. Trinh Van Quyet hopes that each union member and youth will always ask themselves the question: What should we do to make the country develop faster? How should we contribute to be worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations? Turn the aspiration to contribute into a driving force for life; turn the spirit of dedication into the bravery of youth and let each Vietnamese youth become a small flame contributing to lighting up the future of the nation.
With the 95-year glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; with the bravery, intelligence and aspirations of today's young generation, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet deeply believes that: Vietnamese youth will definitely continue to write new, more brilliant pages of history, contributing to building a prosperous, civilized, happy and steadfast Vietnam in the new era.
