The journey to participate in the Contest continues to show Agribank's efforts in promoting digital transformation throughout the system, gradually realizing the goal of building a modern, safe and humane digital financial ecosystem, better meeting the needs of customers and development requirements in the new period.
Strategic intellectual playground of the Banking industry
As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Banking sector and respond to the Banking Industry Digital Transformation Day, the "Banking Industry Digital Transformation 2026" Contest with the theme "Proactive Digitalization - Breakthrough to the Future" attracted 32 teams and more than 600 contestants from credit institutions, units in the industry and financial technology businesses.
The closing ceremony was honored to have the participation of Comrade Pham Duc An, Member of the Party Central Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Comrade Pham Tien Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union, Head of the Steering Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest; Comrade Pham Thanh Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Comrade Dao Minh Tu, former Standing Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Vice President cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Banking Association and leaders of many units in the industry.
On the side of Agribank were Comrade To Huy Vu, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Member Council; Comrade Pham Toan Vuong, General Director of Agribank; Comrade Tu Thi Kim Thanh, Chairman of Agribank Trade Union, Comrade Do Duc Thanh, Deputy General Director of Agribank.
Speaking to direct, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Duc An emphasized that the contest is not only a playground but also a forum to concretize the digital transformation policies of the Party, State and banking industry.
According to the Governor, the Banking sector is continuing to play a pioneering role in applying technology, putting people and businesses at the center of service. Many credit institutions currently have a transaction rate on digital channels exceeding 90%.
The comrade requested the entire sector to continue to improve institutions, develop digital infrastructure, digital data, expand the digital banking ecosystem, ensure network security and prioritize the development of digital human resources.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Comrade Pham Tien Dung affirmed that the Contest has made a strong contribution to raising awareness, thinking and practical technology skills for the entire industry's staff.
The teams went through three rounds including: "Joining forces", "Conquering the digital age" and "Creating a digital future", with many contents on banking technology, data security, AI, Big Data, Blockchain and smart financial solutions.
The final result, the Special Prize belongs to Vietcombank; First prize belongs to Sacombank; BIDV and TPBank won second prize. Agribank, CIC and HDBank won third prize.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 07 Digital Culture prizes, 07 Digital Creativity prizes and 06 Digital Literacy Prizes.
Agribank - Digital transformation journey spreading from internal strength and practical value
In the overall picture of the Contest, the Agribank team made an impression with their sense of responsibility, methodical preparation and substantive approach to digital transformation.
The team was selected from the "Agribanker Masters Technology in the Digital Age" Contest in 2025 - a step showing the orientation of building digital human resources from within Agribank.
Notably, Agribank chose the message "Digital transformation - Command from the heart", emphasizing that technology is not the ultimate goal but a tool to enhance customer experience, enhance data security and create practical value.
At the "Joining Hands" round, Agribank uses modern theatrical forms to recreate the journey of accompanying customers across the country, from urban areas to remote areas, border areas, and islands.
Through this, the image of a key bank in the field of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas is shown not only in the role of providing financial services but also as a bridge to bring technology closer to people.
In the "Conquering the Digital Age" round, members continued to demonstrate professional knowledge of banking technology, information security and data security.
In particular, at the "Creating a Digital Future" round, the "Agribank Safe Flow - Safe Flow" project impressed with multi-layered fraud prevention solutions, aiming to proactively identify and protect customers throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.
Besides the mark at the industry-level contest, the digital transformation movement throughout the Agribank system also recorded many positive results. The "Creating a Digital Future" contest on the E-learning platform attracted more than 33,800 union members and workers from 164 units to participate, reaching a rate of more than 84% of the entire system.
From professional playgrounds to practical activities, Agribank is gradually promoting digital transformation in the direction of putting customers at the center, putting technology as the driving force and putting people as the foundation for sustainable development in the new stage.
