On the afternoon of May 8, at the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee headquarters, the Agribank working delegation had a working session and presented 5 billion VND in social security to accompany the Party Committee and local authorities in caring for people's lives and promoting socio-economic development in the province. Thereby continuing to affirm the role and responsibility of the leading key state financial institution in developing the "tam nong" sector, pioneering and persistently fulfilling responsibility to the community, creating a foundation for sustainable development.
Attending the working session on the side of Ninh Binh provincial leaders were comrades: Tran Huy Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Quynh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ha Lan Anh, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Finance, Department of Health and Provincial Party Committee Office.

Speaking at the working session, Comrade Tran Huy Tuan expressed his pleasure and appreciation to welcome the Agribank working delegation to work, and exchanged some information about the arrangement and merger of administrative units that has opened up new development space and space for Ninh Binh province with an area of over 3,900 km2, a population of over 4.4 million people, creating an important foundation for the locality to break through strongly in the coming period. Comrade said that in recent years, the province's economy has continued to maintain positive growth momentum; tourism has increasingly affirmed its position as a key economic sector, making important contributions to economic restructuring, creating jobs, improving income and promoting rapid and sustainable development.
The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that among those outstanding results is the responsible and effective companionship of Agribank, through the timely and widespread provision of credit capital, contributing to supporting businesses, cooperatives, production households and people to expand investment, develop production and business, promote economic restructuring, create livelihoods, jobs and improve people's lives. Along with that, Agribank has always actively implemented social responsibility with many practical and meaningful social security programs, showing responsibility for the community and the sustainable development of the locality and the country.
Speaking in response at the working session, Agribank General Director Pham Toan Vuong sent congratulations to the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province on the important results and achievements that the province has achieved in socio-economic development in the past time, especially after the merger of 3 provinces Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh into a new Ninh Binh province with a larger development space, opening up many opportunities to attract investment, promote regional linkages and improve local competitiveness. The General Director affirmed that in that process, Agribank is honored and proud to accompany the Party Committee, government, business community and people of Ninh Binh province on the journey of socio-economic development of the locality.
Information on the situation and operating results of Agribank. The General Director emphasized that in the nearly 40-year journey of construction and development, Agribank has clearly affirmed its position as a leading, pioneering, and key state-owned commercial bank in the agricultural and rural financial market. To date, Agribank possesses solid internal foundations, with a total asset scale of nearly 2.7 million billion VND, capital of 2.4 million billion VND, total outstanding credit balance of more than 2 million billion VND, of which about 65% is concentrated in the agricultural and rural sectors.
In Ninh Binh province, Agribank currently includes 06 Type I Branches, 31 Type II Branches, 72 Transaction Offices, the number of officials is more than 1,800 people, with the advantage of a wide network, Agribank branches always strive to bring credit capital and banking services to rural areas and communes, helping thousands of farmers, cooperatives and local businesses access capital for production development and business expansion. As of April 30, 2026, the total operating scale reached 189 trillion VND; of which capital reached 96 trillion VND, outstanding loans to the economy reached 93 trillion VND, and safety ratios are ensured according to regulations.
Along with business operations, Agribank always identifies social security work as not only a responsibility but also a mission for the community and sustainable development of the country. Every year, Agribank spends about 500–600 billion VND to implement social security programs nationwide. In Ninh Binh alone, in the past 5 years, Agribank branches in the area have spent more than 117 billion VND in coordination with localities to implement many practical activities such as awarding scholarships to students; supporting equipment for schools and medical facilities; caring for policy families, poor households and people in difficult circumstances. These activities not only contribute to improving the quality of social security in the area but also continue to widely spread the spirit of sharing, social responsibility and sustainable human values that Agribank has always persistently cultivated throughout the process of building and developing.

The donation of 5 billion VND to support social security, sponsor medical equipment to invest in CT scanning systems for Hoa Lu General Hospital continues to demonstrate the spirit of responsibility, affection and long-term commitment of Agribank with the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province in implementing sustainable development goals. On the basis of that close relationship, Agribank wishes to continue to closely coordinate with localities in effectively implementing socio-economic development goals for the period 2025–2030; prioritize credit resources for key programs and projects, areas with potential and advantages; promote digital transformation, expand access to financial and banking services for people and businesses; and at the same time spread more widely activities for the community, contributing to building Ninh Binh to develop rapidly and sustainably.
