During the two days of November 4-5, 2025, Agribank General Director Pham Toan Vuong led a working delegation with branches in Da Nang city to promptly grasp the damage caused by storms and floods, assess practical operations, remove difficulties, and orient key tasks to comprehensively complete the 2025 goals, creating a solid foundation for the 2026 plan.
Accompanying customers and workers to overcome the consequences of storms and floods

At the center of the working session, the working delegation listened to reports from the Quang Nam Branch and the Hue Branch - the two areas most severely affected by storm No. 12. According to the synthesis of the two localities, the estimated damage is thousands of billions of VND, causing 24 deaths and missing people, 48 injuries; more than 100,000 households were flooded, in which many communes and wards were completely isolated, many traffic works, bridges, and embankments were seriously damaged and eroded. Notably, agricultural production activities - a key field that Agribank serves - are severely affected, leading to many difficulties in the production, trading and consumption of agricultural products.
In that situation, Agribank branches have closely coordinated with local authorities and customers to assess the reality, compile statistics and propose timely support solutions to help people and businesses soon restore production and stabilize their lives.
General Director Pham Toan Vuong highly appreciated the proactive spirit, responsibility and timely intervention of branches, implementing effective response plans, ensuring absolute safety for people and assets and maintaining smooth banking operations.
Speaking at the working program, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairwoman of Agribank Trade Union Tu Thi Kim Thanh deeply shared the heavy losses that officers and employees of Quang Nam Branch and Hue Branch suffered after storm No. 12.
With specific and practical actions, Agribank Trade Union has donated 1 billion VND to cadres, union members, and workers at Quang Nam Branch and 800 million VND to Hue Branch.

In addition to caring for and supporting workers, Agribank also proactively accompanies customers affected by natural disasters. As part of the series of business trips, Agribank General Director Pham Toan Vuong directly visited, encouraged and presented gifts to the leaders and employees of Hello International Joint Stock Company Vietnam - a long-time customer of Agribank Hue branch that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods.

Accompanying local authorities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, Agribank has allocated 4 billion VND from the Social Security Fund to 2 branches to coordinate with the Central region Representative Office to organize working groups to present and directly support communes, wards and locations that were deeply flooded and severely damaged.
Since the beginning of 2025, Agribank has spent about 70 billion VND to support the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, out of a total of nearly 500 billion VND that the bank has spent on social security activities for the community across the country.
In the face of serious damage, the General Director requested branches in the area to urgently review the entire credit portfolio, promptly identifying affected customers, especially loans with collateral such as houses, land, crops, and livestock. On that basis, the units immediately deploy preferential credit packages to support people to repair their houses, restore agricultural production, livestock and business, simple procedures, and quickly disburse.
Proactively adapt, ensure safe and effective business
Within the framework of the working program, the working delegation listened to a report on the performance of the Quang Nam Branch and the Hue Branch after the arrangement according to the new administrative unit. The units have proposed and recommended: adding funding sources to overcome the consequences of storm No. 12; adjusting the indicators of service revenue and regular expenses plans to suit the reality, network arrangement, and changing addresses in accordance with the boundaries of the two-level government.
Concluding the working program, the General Director of Agribank acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, solidarity and efforts to overcome difficulties of branches in Da Nang City and Hue. In the context of localities simultaneously implementing administrative unit reorganization, but also being affected by natural disasters, storms and floods and economic fluctuations, units are still steadfast in their goals, flexibly adapting, ensuring safe and effective operations. The recommendations and feedback from the grassroots are valuable practical information channels, helping Agribank's leaders promptly remove difficulties, perfect mechanisms and policies, towards building an increasingly synchronous, flexible and more efficient operating system, the General Director emphasized.
