On the evening of December 18, 2024, the National Quality Award (GTCLQG) and the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award (GPEA) 2021-2023 ceremony took place solemnly at the Military Theater, Hanoi. At the ceremony, Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones were honored to have 3 enterprises honored by the Government and the Ministry of Science and Technology for their outstanding achievements in quality management.
The three honored enterprises include: Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hoa Khanh Industrial Park), which won the National Quality Gold Award; the Central Power Electronic Measuring Equipment Manufacturing Center - Branch of the Central Power Corporation (Hoa Cam Industrial Park), which also won the National Quality Gold Award; and Bien Dong Electrical Automation Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. - Da Nang Branch (ESTEC) (Da Nang Industrial Park), which won the National Quality Award.
The National Quality Award, formerly the Vietnam Quality Award (launched in 1996), has been upgraded and expanded to become one of the most prestigious awards in the field of quality in Vietnam. The award is evaluated based on 7 strict criteria, including: Leadership role; Strategic planning; Customer and market orientation; Knowledge measurement, analysis and management; Human resource management and development; Operations, and Performance results.
According to regulations, enterprises that score 600 points or more will receive the National Quality Award. Enterprises that score 800 points or more, and are considered the most excellent, will receive the National Quality Gold Award. Enterprises that win the National Quality Gold Award for two consecutive years will be considered for nomination to participate in the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award (GPEA).
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh emphasized: “The award is not only a prestigious reward but also a driving force for businesses to continuously improve and develop in a competitive economic environment, contributing to economic recovery and ensuring jobs for millions of workers”. He also said that this is an important tool to help promote sustainable development of businesses and enhance global competitiveness.
Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat also affirmed that the enterprises awarded the National Quality Award are proof of their efforts in applying tools to improve productivity and quality, innovate and perfect the management system.
The event of 3 Da Nang enterprises being honored is an important step forward, a motivation for other enterprises in the region to continue to strive, improve quality and productivity. The Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones is committed to accompanying and encouraging enterprises to actively participate in the annual awards, contributing to enhancing the prestige and national brand in the domestic and international markets.
