On November 11, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that in October 2024, it had issued new Investment Registration Certificates for 3 projects in industrial parks in the area, with a total investment capital of 2,699 billion VND and 8 million USD.
Of which, the Vina One Steel Factory project in Chau Duc Industrial Park with a scale of 800,000 tons/year has a registered investment capital of VND 2,500 billion, and a land area of 12.02 hectares; the Household Furniture Hardware Factory project in Chau Duc Industrial Park with a scale of 9,500 tons/year has a registered investment capital of USD 8 million, and a land area of 2 hectares; the Factory project for manufacturing, processing and installing mechanical structures, prefabricated steel frames... in Dat Do I Industrial Park with a scale of 10,000 tons/year has a registered investment capital of VND 199 billion, and a land area of 3.94 hectares.
There are 2 projects in the area registered to increase investment capital by 125.73 billion VND and 4 million USD.
In addition, due to ineffective operations, one project registered to reduce its investment capital slightly (more than 21,000 USD) and three projects with a total investment of 603.96 billion VND ceased operations. There are also 10 investment projects in the area that are slow to implement.
By the end of October 2024, the total investment capital attracted in the province is estimated to reach about 3.25 billion USD (of which FDI capital is about 1.919 billion USD; domestic capital is about 31,853 billion VND). This figure has reached 162.52% of the 2024 plan and equal to 197.17% of the same period in 2023.
It is expected that the total accumulated capital attracted by 2024 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau will reach 3.412 billion USD (of which FDI capital is 2.035 billion USD; domestic capital is 32,939 billion VND).
