The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch on reporting the progress of a number of investment projects.
Official dispatch sent to Lach Huyen Port Investment Joint Stock Company (address: 18th Floor, VCCI Building, No. 09 Dao Duy Anh, Kim Lien Ward, Hanoi City); Nam Ha Noi Infrastructure and Urban Development Joint Stock Company (address: 7th Floor of Plaschem Building, No. 562 Nguyen Van Cu, Bo De Ward, Hanoi City).
Accordingly, after reviewing the implementation of investment projects to build dry ports, the investment policy has been approved; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Pham Van Thinh commented as follows:
Requesting the Port of Lach Huyen Investment Joint Stock Company and Nam Ha Noi Infrastructure and Urban Development Joint Stock Company to report on the implementation status of the Dong Son Seaport project, the Sen Ho Seaport project and difficulties and problems (if any); send to the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province (through the Office of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province) before September 5, 2025.
According to the reporter's investigation, on June 30, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province (old) announced the Decision approving the investment policy and approving the investor for the two above-mentioned projects.
Of which, the Dong Son Seaport project is invested by Lach Huyen Port Investment Joint Stock Company with a land use area of about 17.17 hectares, with a total investment capital of more than 1,151 billion VND.
The Sen Ho Seaport project is invested by Nam Ha Noi Infrastructure and Urban Development Joint Stock Company with a land use area of nearly 200 hectares and a total investment of nearly 700 billion VND.
At the announcement ceremony of the above decision, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Pham Van Thinh emphasized that the projects awarded the Decision and Certificate are very important in the industrial - service development strategy of Bac Giang province as well as the (new) Bac Ninh province.
In order for projects to be effectively implemented soon, maximizing their value in contributing to the socio-economic development of the province, Mr. Thinh suggested that relevant departments and branches continue to guide and support investors to complete procedures after approving the policy, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and shortening project implementation time.
The new Bac Ninh province (after the merger between Bac Ninh and Bac Giang) has a natural area of 4,718.6 km2, a population of 3,619,433 people, and has been in operation since July 1.
The newly established Bac Ninh province borders Hung Yen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong city and Hanoi city, with the economic scale (GRDP) ranked 5th in the country.
According to the Planning for the development of the dry port system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Bac Ninh province (old) is also planned to have 4 dry ports, including Tien Son, Tan Chi, Que Vo and Yen Phong dry ports.
