Ca Mau announces 96 projects to invite investment

The Ca Mau province investment promotion conference in 2026 will announce 96 projects in many fields, in which green energy continues to be a highlight.

On the morning of August 28, Ca Mau province will organize the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference with the theme "Ca Mau - New Growth Pole", expected to have about 500 delegates attend, including 350 businesses, investors, investment promotion organizations and domestic and foreign business associations.

The focus of the conference is to announce a list of 96 projects inviting investment in the fields of housing, urban areas; energy; tourism, culture, sports; environment; transportation; health, education; trade, services; agriculture, fisheries; infrastructure of industrial parks, clusters and economic zones.

In particular, 10 green energy and renewable energy projects have a total estimated investment capital of more than 54,597 billion VND. This is one of the 5 groups of sectors that Ca Mau prioritizes attracting investment, along with marine economy, seaports, logistics; seafood, high-tech agriculture, deep processing; industry, trade, urban areas, services; tourism, resorts and experiential services.

At the conference, Ca Mau province is expected to award investment policy approval decisions, investment registration certificates, and sign memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements with investors.

Before the conference, Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy and also approved investors for 3 wind power projects in the area, with a total capacity of 170 MW and a total investment capital of more than 6,000 billion VND.

In which, Dong Hai 13 wind power plant phase 2 has a capacity of 70 MW, with an investment capital of nearly 2,477 billion VND, implemented in Dong Hai and Long Dien communes. Dong Hai 1 wind power plant phase 4 has a capacity of 50 MW, with an investment capital of 1,800,000 billion VND, implemented in Dong Hai commune.

Dong Hai 3 Wind Power Plant phase 2 project has a capacity of 50 MW, with an investment capital of nearly 1,770 billion VND, implemented in Ganh Hao commune.

All 3 projects have a operating term of 49 years, expected to start construction in the third - fourth quarters of 2027 and be completed and put into operation in 2028.

The continuous approval of wind power projects before the investment promotion conference shows that the renewable energy sector is being expected by Ca Mau to become one of the new growth drivers.
