The signing ceremony took place in Korea with the participation of leaders of organizations, associations, experts and businesses operating in the coffee industry of the friendly country.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in fields such as technology exchange, experts, human resources and training equipment; coordinate research and development of products and application of technical advances; build education and training programs, improve professional capacity; support connecting human resources, organizations and coffee businesses of the two countries.
The parties also aim to improve job development conditions for coffee workers, while promoting the coffee industry and culture in Vietnam and Korea.
Mr. Le Duc Huy, Vice Chairman of VICOFA, Vice Chairman of BMTCA and Chairman of the Member Council of Simexco DakLak assessed that, despite occupying a significant market share, the origin, quality and value of Vietnamese coffee have not yet been recognized commensurately by Korean consumers. This is room for businesses and coffee industry organizations of the two countries to strengthen cooperation.
The signing of cooperation between KCA and VICOFA, BMTCA and Simexco DakLak is expected not only to expand Vietnamese coffee export opportunities but also to create a foundation for cooperation in technology, training, culture, trade and investment.
Through this, Fine Robusta Vietnam coffee has more opportunities to reach roasters, professionals and Korean consumers, and at the same time opens up the possibility for Korean businesses to participate more deeply in the coffee value chain in Vietnam.
During the working trip, the delegation also visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, exchanged orientations for coordinating the construction of spaces to introduce Vietnamese products, culture and specialties to local consumers. Among them, coffee is proposed as one of the key products to promote the image of Vietnam in Korea.

In 2025, South Korea imported about 200,000 tons of coffee, of which Vietnam supplied about 36,000 tons, equivalent to 18% of total imports. Vietnam is currently South Korea's second largest coffee supplier, after Brazil.
