Since the beginning of August, this model has been implemented in many localities in the province with different names. In Phu Thuy ward, "Morning Coffee with Leaders" has been organized for the second time and rotated in residential groups.
Next to the coffee cup, representatives of households and businesses frankly reflected on issues related to urban management, environmental sanitation, security and order, and social security policies.
Many contents were answered by ward leaders and specialized departments right at the meeting. Issues that need to be inspected and handled were recorded for resolution afterwards.
In Duc Linh commune, a similar approach is being implemented called "Front Tea Table - Listening to People's Voices". The dialogue space is located in residential areas, helping Front officials, authorities and socio-political organizations directly listen to people share their thoughts and aspirations.
Here, the stories brought up at the tea table are quite specific. People's opinions and recommendations are received, answered and transferred to relevant agencies for handling.
Also in Binh Thuan ward, the "Front Cafe - Listening to the People" model is organized at the Ham Hiep Residential Group Cultural House. Nearly 20 people reflected many issues, including land compensation related to the road project from Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection to the expressway intersection and land funds on both sides of the road.
Not only aimed at people, this approach is also expanded to the business community. At the provincial level, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province organizes "Businessmen's Coffee", expected on the fifth and fourth week of each month. Meetings are organized according to each topic, creating conditions for businesses to directly raise difficulties and obstacles in production and business.
From these conversations, provincial leaders requested relevant departments and sectors to study and handle each recommendation, and at the same time continue to improve the investment environment in a transparent and favorable direction.
Despite having different names, the models all have one thing in common: to move the dialogue away from heavily administrative meetings, so that the government meets with people and businesses in a closer space.
A cup of coffee or a tea table is therefore not just a place to chat. This is also a way for the government to listen from the grassroots level, grasp issues arising from life and respond directly to the people.
Through this, the spirit of "being close to the people, respecting the people, understanding the people and being responsible to the people" is concretized by simple but practical meetings.
