From 2021 to now, many businesses investing in renewable energy such as wind power and solar power have poured thousands of billions of VND into Gia Lai.
In particular, in the areas of Krong Pa, Ia Pa, Chu Se, Ayun Pa - where there are high sunny hours and high temperatures, it is very favorable for developing solar power, bringing profits to businesses and revenue to the locality.
In addition to two large-scale solar power projects, Krong Pa Power Plant and Chu Ngoc Solar Power Plant - EVNLICOGI16, this area also has many other energy enterprises.
However, due to the lack of a transformer station, the electricity capacity in the area cannot be completely relieve. Power companies must distribute and regulate power sources appropriately to avoid overload, affecting the power grid system.
This makes businesses worry about reduced output on the grid, leading to a decrease in revenue and a waste of invested resources.

Mr. Duong Minh Duc - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai - said: The 220kV Krong Pa Transformer Station project and the 220kV Krong Pa - Chu Se dual-circuit line (63 km long) are included in the Power Plan VIII approved by the Prime Minister.
However, the project is behind schedule. Currently, National Power Transmission Corporation has assigned Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 to prepare a feasibility study report.
It is likely that this transformer station project will not be synchronous with the implementation progress of approved renewable energy projects, granted investment policies in Krong Pa, Ayun Pa, Chu Se...
The Department of Industry and Trade will continue to recommend the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to direct the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) to soon allocate resources to implement construction investment.
