On July 2nd, Market Management Team (QLTT) No. 1, Hanoi City Market Management Department, said that this unit had just simultaneously inspected, discovered and temporarily seized more than 5,000 fake ink products of Epson and Canon brands at two business establishments in the city.
According to Market Management Team No. 1, after a long period of implementing professional measures, functional forces have identified counterfeit goods traders using many sophisticated methods and tricks to conceal violations.
For traditional business forms, goods are distributed, hidden interspersed with other products or put on high floors, hidden areas in stores to avoid detection by functional forces.
For online business activities, subjects choose apartments in modern apartment buildings with entry and exit control systems to use as goods gathering places.
At the same time, they only transact through associations and groups on social networks; pay by transferring money through many different accounts and do not deliver goods directly to customers but through transportation units.
Notably, the transportation unit is also constantly changed according to each order to cause difficulties for inspection and verification work.

After firmly grasping the operating methods of the subjects, Market Management Team No. 1 simultaneously inspected two business locations.
At apartment B0905, 9th floor, Binh Minh Garden apartment building, No. 93 Duc Giang, Viet Hung ward, Hanoi city, owned by Mr. N.V.T, functional forces discovered 4,092 bottles of fake Epson brand ink and 186 bottles of fake Canon brand ink being protected in Vietnam.
Through inspection, Mr. N.V.T operated business in the form of a household business, but did not register to establish a household business as prescribed.
At the same time, this person used the Facebook account "Ink - Good Price" and the Zalo account attached to the phone number 0978075*** to post, introduce and provide information about fake Epson and Canon ink products on the internet.
At the same time, Market Management Team No. 1 inspected a store at 59 Ly Nam De, Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi city belonging to T&H Investment Service Trading Co., Ltd. directed by Ms. N.T. T. H.
Here, functional forces continued to discover 628 bottles of fake Epson brand ink and 155 bottles of fake Canon brand ink being sold.
In total, Market Management Team No. 1 has temporarily seized 5,061 ink products showing signs of counterfeiting Epson and Canon brands at two establishments to continue verifying and handling according to regulations.
Currently, Market Management Team No. 1 is coordinating with the rights holders of the two brands Epson and Canon to confirm the counterfeiting status of the seized goods, and at the same time continue to investigate and clarify the origin of goods and related violations in order to strictly handle them according to the provisions of law.
The case once again shows that counterfeit goods traders are constantly changing their operating methods, combining direct business and business in the digital environment to conceal violations.
The Market Management force will continue to strengthen the work of grasping the situation, deploying professional measures and inspecting and strictly handling acts of intellectual property rights infringement, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and consumers, and building a transparent and healthy business environment.
