It is forecast that the tropical depression is about to strengthen into storm No. 1. From the night of July 3, the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa are likely to experience a widespread heavy rain.

Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 13:00 on July 2, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 17.4 degrees North latitude - 112.2 degrees East longitude, over the sea area north of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 7 (50-61 km/h), gusting at level 9; moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 25 km/h.

Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in the Northwest direction at a speed of about 10-15 km/h, with the possibility of strengthening into storm No. 1. By 13:00 on July 3, the storm's center will be located at about 18.6 degrees North latitude - 110.2 degrees East longitude; on the mainland coastal southeast of Hainan Island (China).

The strongest wind in the area near the storm center is strong at level 8-9, gusting at level 10-11. The dangerous area is at about 16 degrees North latitude - 20 degrees North latitude; 109 degrees East longitude - 114 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the western part of the Northern East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa special zone).

Forecast for the next 48 hours, the storm will move in a Northwest direction, speed of about 10-15 km/h. By 13:00 on July 4, the storm center will be located at about 20.6 degrees North latitude - 108.3 degrees East longitude; over the Northern Gulf area. The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.

The dangerous area is at about 17 degrees North latitude - 22 degrees North latitude; 107 degrees East longitude - 112 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northwestern sea area of the Northern East Sea, the Northern Gulf area.

Warning from the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northwest direction, traveling 10-15 km per hour and gradually weakening into a tropical depression.

Regarding the impact of the tropical depression (then strengthened into a storm), the sea area west of the Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone) has strong winds of level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-9, waves 2-4m high, the area near the storm center 3-5m high, very rough seas.

From the night of July 3, the sea area of the Northern Gulf of Tonkin will gradually have strong winds of level 6-7, the area near the storm center passing through level 8, gusts of level 9-10, waves 2-4m high, strong rough seas.

Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.

On land, from the night of July 3rd to the end of July 5th, in the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa, there is a possibility of a widespread heavy rain with a common total rainfall of about 100 - 200mm, especially in the Northeast region 150 - 250mm, locally over 350mm.
