Responding to the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026), on the evening of July 2, Ho Chi Minh City organized fireworks displays at 16 locations in the area.
According to the plan, the fireworks display program takes place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM with 5 high-altitude fireworks display points and 11 low-altitude fireworks display points, serving people and tourists in many areas of the city.
The organizers developed a performance script consisting of 4-5 pieces of music, each lasting from 3 to 4.5 minutes. The program's ending uses heroic melodies to create highlights and climaxes for the performance.
Notably, the sound and lighting systems of the buildings in the central area will be synchronized with fireworks effects, contributing to bringing a modern and eye-catching performance space.
According to the organizers, the program uses 2,840 high-altitude fireworks, 360 low-altitude fireworks, 1,200 low-altitude fireworks platforms and more than 12,000 firework tubes of all kinds.
The area at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel was arranged with 1,200 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks displays and 30 fireworks displays, becoming a highlight of the fireworks display program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the city named after Uncle Ho.
