The event was chaired by Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung with the participation of departments, branches, related units and more than 280 entrepreneurs and businesses inside and outside the province.
With the theme "Towards green business development and social responsibility", the meeting and dialogue aims to strengthen the connection and closeness between leaders of An Giang province and businesses. Through this, direct exchange, listening together, sharing and removing difficulties, especially the government, departments, and related functional sectors receiving feedback and recommendations from the business community to promptly adjust policies and support the resolution of problems.
According to the An Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, functional agencies have completed the handling and definitive response to 48/48 recommendations from 27 businesses. The recommendations in areas such as: Land use planning, issuance of land use right certificates, construction permit procedures, access to credit capital sources and production and business support policies. The timely and competent resolution of these problems has created favorable conditions for businesses to stabilize and continue to expand investment scale and produce and do business more effectively.
With the spirit of "speaking frankly, telling the truth, finding solutions together", Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested entrepreneurs and businesses to boldly share the "bottlenecks" they are facing so that the business community region can remove them and have appropriate and timely policy adjustments.
Towards green and sustainable tourism development, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Tourism Association Nguyen Vu Khac Huy proposed: It is necessary to apply a set of green tourism criteria as a common measure to build a brand, a sustainable destination of international standards. Businesses may lack incentive criteria, but if they violate the environment and do not have a green action plan, they cannot be recognized. The province established an independent assessment council to ensure "Green Business" in cuisine, human resource management, resource and cultural conservation, waste and energy management, green transportation, and friendly amenities...
Greening helps businesses save 20-30% of electricity, water, and consumables costs... Green tourism is not a cost burden but a golden opportunity for An Giang to affirm its position on the world tourism map.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that the province is reducing 50% of the time to carry out procedures to help businesses seize business opportunities, and requested businesses to directly reflect to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on sluggishness and harassment. In the strategy of developing a green business ecosystem, the province does not assign functional agencies to advise on the issuance of "Green Business Certificates", helping businesses' products reach out to the international market.
Clean energy and circular economy, "green" vision are also required by provincial leaders for new projects to integrate rooftop solar power to save energy and reduce costs. The province is also drastically promoting waste treatment projects, turning waste into resources, in order to build a sustainable and civilized investment environment.
Leaders of An Giang province emphasized that the success of businesses is also the growth of the province. An Giang will not only "lay the red carpet" to invite investment but will always stand side by side, accompany businesses to overcome all difficulties and challenges to develop sustainably together.
