Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen - Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee - is the Head of the Group.
The working group has the function and task of organizing the launch of a peak period of fighting to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the city, from May 15, 2025 to June 15, 2025; organize inspections and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law.
Direct, inspect, urge departments, branches, district and commune People's Committees, and functional forces in implementing and implementing Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 of the Prime Minister on launching a peak period against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights; directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee 389, and the City People's Committee in combating smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.
At the same time, directing the inspection and proposal of handling organizations and individuals who lack the sense of responsibility and negativity, loosen management, abide by smuggling, trade frauds, production and trading of fake goods, infringing upon intellectual property rights; Request departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, relevant functional forces to provide information about the province, the results of anti -smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods in the city, the field of management and documents of violations when necessary.
The working group is also responsible for summarizing and evaluating the implementation, implementing the electricity, proposing the City People's Committee to direction and solutions to solve important and interdisciplinary issues to improve the effectiveness of anti -smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods; proposing reward for collectives and individuals with achievements in the peak period; Directing the inspection and handling of collectives and individuals showing signs of covering, protecting and abetting smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods; Directing the authorities to coordinate with the news agencies and press agencies to develop programs and propaganda plans on anti -smuggling and trade frauds in the area.
Department of Industry and Trade is a permanent deputy, using its apparatus to perform the task of helping the working group; Prepare documents, reports and draft conclusions of the meeting of the working group, synthesize, report the joint activities of the working group and perform a number of other tasks assigned by the Task Force leader.
