Agriseco Securities was fined more than VND378 million by the Hanoi Tax Department for tax violations and received an additional fine of nearly VND96 million after only 2 days.

Fined for false tax declaration, over 378 million VND collected

According to the Penalty Decision dated December 25, 2024 of the Hanoi Tax Department, Agriseco - Northern Branch, although complying with tax declaration and payment, still has some violations:

Corporate Income Tax (CIT): The unit accounts for management expenses purchased from enterprises that have notified the cancellation of their business address or have risk warnings; and uses invoices issued after the tax code has expired. Therefore, the tax authority requires Agriseco - Northern Branch to self-exclude these expenses (without deducting input VAT).

Personal Income Tax (PIT): The company under-declared the amount of PIT payable from salaries and wages as prescribed.

For the above violations, the tax authority decided to impose a fine of 20% on the additional tax amount after inspection (more than 7.5 million VND). At the same time, collect personal income tax of more than 354.3 million VND and late payment of more than 16.2 million VND (as of December 25, 2024). Agriseco - Northern Branch is responsible for self-calculating and paying the late payment from December 26, 2024 until tax obligations are fulfilled.

After offsetting more than VND 224.1 million in personal income tax paid, Agriseco - Northern Branch still has to pay nearly VND 154 million to the State budget. The total amount of arrears, fines and late payments this time is more than VND 378 million.

Continued fines for corporate income tax violations

Not stopping there, Agriseco received another penalty decision from the Hanoi Tax Department (dated December 27, 2024) for false declaration, leading to a shortage of corporate income tax payable, an amount of VND 479 million. For this violation, Agriseco was fined nearly VND 96 million.
